The 4x100 m fast

Yes, there is such a thing as a Relay Fast. In fact, very recently there was one in Chennai. For the uninitiated, let me tell you what a relay fast is: Earlier, when people would need to protest, they would go on a "fast until death", or until their demands were met. Now this can get really painful, since nobody gives a damn until you're close to death...so the new generation requires a new kind of color-co-ordinated fast, as it seems. The relay fast is when you fast for a while, say for a couple hours or so, and then someone else takes over your fast. So at any given point in time, someone is fasting. (What's the difference from this and daily life? Good question.)

I love these new fandangled forms of protest. What's next? Maybe a relay form of this.
